It’s exciting times here at Adventure Associates. We have now completed our office move to the Blue Mountains, and are busy planning a new range of extraordinary adventures to tempt you to travel with us in 2014 and beyond.
Pushing the boundaries of adventure travel and giving back to the communities in which we operate has always been a mantra for Adventure Associates, and we’re delighted to announce a new trek next August to the wildly beautiful region of Upper Mustang in conjunction with the not-for-profit Australian Himalayan Foundation. Mustang is culturally and geographically part of Tibet, and was until about 20 years ago, closed to the world. But changes are coming fast to Mustang, and the next couple of years may provide the last window of opportunity to explore a relatively untouched corner of old Tibet.
We’re also excited to be returning to Madagascar in April 2014. Best known for its lemurs, bizarre looking chameleons and the majestic baobab trees. Adventure Associates was a pioneer in travel to this enchanting island where nature reigns supreme, and we are delighted to be able to once again share its wonders with you.
Polar travel is in our DNA! That’s a little unusual for a small Australian owned, family business. But we have a wealth of experience having operated in the Polar Regions since 1990. We are thrilled to invite you to join us on a unique expedition to the top of the world. Svalbard is teeming with life for only a few months of the year, during the Arctic summer. Armed with our “secret weapon” M/S Malmö, twenty-four hours of daylight and only twelve guests on board, we will have the advantage of ultimate flexibility.
We have lots more in store for the coming year – with a focus of taking you ‘beyond the ordinary’. So keep in touch! Call us or send us an email, or if you happen to be in the Blue Mountains, make sure you drop in for a coffee and a chat.
