This one-of-a-kind expedition takes you to an Emperor Penguin rookery and a King Penguin rookery. This singular event will be enriched by our special guests, Robert Bateman and Birgit Freybe Bateman. The expedition sails from Ushuaia, Argentina to the Weddell Sea, where you spend 3-days at an Emperor rookery. After 5-days exploring South Georgia, the icebreaker crosses the Southern Ocean to the Falkland Islands. This is ultimate Antarctica, the least known continent and only an icebreaker ensures access to its most remote regions. Onboard helicopters take you closer to historic sites, distinctive wildlife and frozen landscapes unchanged by the march of time. The sheer scale of the surrounding landscape inspires awe, while the power of Kapitan Khlebnikov leaves you breathless with excitement.
