Two of the world's most intriguing destinations - Réunion Island and Madagascar. Our first stop on this new tour is Réunion Island, an island of true contrasts and relatively unknown to many of the world's travellers. That's unfortunate! for this unique island in the middle of the Indian Ocean is simply one of the most fascinating spots on earth. Dwarfed by Madagascar, its neighbour to the west, it is a country of varied and enticing terrain.
Volcanoes, lush forests and beaches make up this bird-watchers paradise. Many birding aficionados travel here simply for the purpose of discovering how many species of winged creatures they can spot. And, naturally, with its French heritage the cuisine of the island is as varied as its people.
A short flight and we soon reach the mammoth and rugged 'island continent' of Madagascar. During our stay we will discover the beautiful Lemurs (the most ancient relatives of monkeys and humans), which range from mouse-sized to over one metre high. Madagascar's fauna also includes colourful and bizarre looking chameleons, reptiles, giant butterflies and great numbers of birds. So much of what we'll see on the island is endemic to this amazing place.
We are thrilled to once again extend this invitation to explore two of the least-known, yet most remarkable bastions of nature remaining on the earth. We do hope you can join us on this new all inclusive tour which will show you an enchanting insight into the customs, cultures and natural wonders of these two inspiring islands.
Throughout our tour we will be flying with Air Austral - the Indian Ocean Airline who, only recently has added Australia to its global network.
