Broome to Darwin

Day 1 - Monday

Broome

4.30pm: Board the Coral Princess at Broome Wharf for a 6:00pm departure. This evening enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Party.

Day 2 - Tuesday

Pender Bay - Lacepede Islands

Cruise through Pender Bay and visit the Lacepede Islands: turtle nursery, booby and frigate bird colonies; beach and island exploration.

Day 3 - Wednesday

Crocodile Creek - Talbot Bay

Visit Crocodile Creek. Cruise Talbot Bay famous for its pearling operation and take a zodiac ride of the unique tidal Horizontal Waterfalls.

Day 4 - Thursday

Buccaneer Archipelago - Montgomery Reef - Raft Point

Buccaneer Archipelago including reef walks and marine life study at Montgomery Reef, visit to an aboriginal rock art gallery ashore at Raft Point, river exploration, fresh water swimming and mud crabbing.

Day 5 - Friday

Prince Regent River - Camp Creek - King Cascade Falls

Prince Regent River excursion to picturesque Camp Creek and remote King Cascade Falls: exploration, freshwater swimming, and scenic waterfalls. Tonight you may enjoy crocodile spotlighting.

Day 6 - Saturday

Kuri bay - Careening Bay

Cruise through Kuri Bay, home of the south sea pearl industry and Careening Bay to the site of a large boabab tree with the inscription “HMC Mermaid - 1820”.

Day 7 - Sunday

Hunter River - Mitchell plateau

Cruise into Prince Frederick Harbour and explore the Hunter River; optional scenic helicopter flights to the Surveyor and Mitchell Falls on the Mitchell Plateau: swimming in fresh water ponds. Beach BBQ at sunset.

Day 8 - Monday

Bigge island - Low Rocks

Bigge Island: visit to Aboriginal and “Bradshaw” rock paintings, beach and island exploration. Low Rocks: sea bird rockeries.

Day 9 - Tuesday

Vansattart Bay - Bonaparte Archipelago

Cruise Vansattart Bay and the Bonaparte Archipelago.

Day 10 - Wednesday

King george River - Tranquil Bay

Exploration of King George River with views to the gorges and the mighty waterfalls, then cruise to scenic Tranquil Bay. Tonight join the Captain for his Farewell Cocktail Party.
