Day 1

La Paz - Huatajata

Depart this morning and travel overland to Huaiajata arriving around lunchtime. Upon arrival you are transferred to ytour hotel the Inca Utama, beautifully located by the Lake. This afternoon visit the Eco and Altiplano Museums and witness an audio-visual show. This evening you will be treated ti a candlelight dinner.BD

Day 2

Huatajata - Lake Titicaca - Puno

You depart this morning for a delightful cruise b y hydrofoil and visit the Sun and the Moon Islands passing the Tiquina Strait where the lake narrows to under a mile. Enjoy lunch before rejoining your coach at Copacabana on the shore of the lake to continue your drive to Puno.BLD

Day 3

Puno - Cuzco

Join your train today for the fantastic journey across the Altiplano to Cuzco. A totally fascinating experience, with Indians in different local garb crowding the platforms at every stop selling food and handicrafts. En route you will also see Alpacas, Llamas and perhaps the Vicuna -native animals of the Altiplano. Upon arrival at Cuzco transfer to your hotel.BL

Day 4

Cuzco

Depart Cuzco.B

Optional Visit to Tiahuanacu Ruins

On Day 3 instead of travelling directly to La Paz from Huatajata, you could visit the ruins of Tiahuanacu, capital of a civilisation which began in 1580 B.C. and thought to be one of the largest cities in the world at this time, with 100,000 inhabitants. See monolithic figures carved in granite, aqueducts, temples and the famous sun door, decorated with symmetrical figures. If this option is taken the La Paz and Moon Valley tour is taken on Day 4.
