Day 1
santiago - Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas
Transfer to the airport for your flight* to Puerto Montt, Chile's principal fishing port. On arrival you will be met and transferred to you hotel in Puerto Varas. Afternoon at leisure. We suggest a visit to the market at Angelmó, where you will find interesting handicrafts. B
Day 2
Lakes District
The beginning of two days of spectacular and inspiring scenery as you cross the Chilean-Argentine Lakes District. The perfectly formed cone of the Osorno Volcano reflected in the waters of the lakes is just one of the many spectacular mountain peaks which dominate much of your journey. Depart this morning by bus alongside the lake to Petrohué, then continue by launch across Lake Todos Los Santos to Peulla for overnight. BD
Day 3
Lakes District
Continue by bus to Lake Frias which you cross by boat, entering Argentina. A short bus ride brings you to Puerto Blest, where you continue by launch to Puerto Pañuelo, the port of San Carlos de Bariloche, a Swiss style town set amidst deep blue lakes and snowcapped mountains. B
Day 4
San Carlos de Bariloche
Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour know as 'Circuito Chico', driving through the most beautiful part of this National Park of forest, lakes and mountains, culminating at Punto Panoramico. B
Day 5
San Carlos de Bariloche
