Nomads of The Seas, based on a state-of-the-art expedition cruise that offers its guests the unique opportunity of exploring Patagonia by air,land and water. Thanks to a first rate crew and a cutting edge air and water transport system, Nomads of The Seas can deliver the thrill of Fly-fishing, the majesty of whale-watching as well as bird-watching, nature photography and a varied selection of soft outdoor adventures in unexplored surroundings of incredible beauty, in the southernmost corner of the world.
There are two distinct programs:
Ultimate Fly-fishing
In the first, skilled anglers from all over the world come to enjoy one of the best journeys of their life. Aboard the helicopter or jet-boats, you travel to spots carefully selected for the beauty, isolation and wild nature, where previously flown-in jet skiffs, Mackenzie drift boats and catacrafts are ready and waiting to make the most of magnificent fishing sites.
Wildlife Adventures
The Wildlife Adventures ecotourism program presents the most stimulating outdoor activities with a unique scientific approach. Environmental experts guide the whale and bird-watching excursions, delivering a lot of information and interesting facts concerning the many species. These trips can be combined with nature photography as well. This program is completed by a group of activities created for explorers interests in more vigorous appreciation of the beauty of Chilean Patagonia, seen from different and exciting viewpoints. The invitation is to experience the breathtaking scenery, from unique perspectives; the thrill of jet-boating or rafting, the peaceful charm of kayaking and trekking, the everlasting joy of horseback riding and the awe inspiring adventure of flying over Patagonia aboard a helicopter for some impressive panoramic views.
The Atmosphere ship cruises during the night and by day it anchors in bays and fiords where guests can disembark using the many vehicles available for the programmed activities. All guides go out equipped with gourmet lunches if the activities planned take all day. If it's three to four hours, the ship awaits with delicious preparations on board. Come early evening, Atmosphere awaits, ready to grant its guests a restorative rest through its spa services, lectures and gourmet preparations.
Daily itinerary
Each day aboard Atmosphere is unique and different. The specific programs are defined between 12 and 24 hours in advance, so that fishing and wildlife expeditions can take into account immediate climatic conditions and other relevant factors such as cetacean location, fish behavior and tides among others. Day by day, routes are studied and defined so there is no such a specific track; we tailor it in order to provide the very best.
Weather
Temperatures in Patagonia are not extremely low due to the influence of the sea and the action of the winds; hence, the coldest months are rarely below 4°C / 39°F. Conversely, on warmer days thermometers may rise up to 20°C / 68°F; an actual proof of how changeable weather in Patagonia may be. With a proper dressing, this fact should not get in the way of experiencing the Nomadic adventure.
